KIDS VOICE SEASON ONE: THE CLIMAX

On Tuesday the 31st day in the month of July, 2018 at National Theatre, Lagos-Nigeria, a remarkable event took place; it was KIDS VOICE REALITY SINGING COMPETITION GRAND FINALE. The Banquet Hall received many delightful faces, brand sponsors, media partners, journalists, family, friends, fans and well-wishers of the finalist and the organizers who came to witness the closing of a ground-breaking event which has transformed the musical orientation and singing ability of kids who made it to the finals of the competition.

The grand finale was hosted by the duo of VICTOR GODFREY and DOROTHY who enthused the audience with their charismatic intellects. The opening speech was delivered by the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of R-Wells Media and JYB TV, JIBE OLOGEH. In her speech, she stated that the program is a platform created to give children the chance to create their own opportunity to project and entertain themselves. She furthermore spurred all adults and parents support kid contents and always remember to have their decoders on “Child Lock” to restrict them from streaming corrupt contents as they are liable to learn the negative projections. She furthermore quoted that “Television is the spirit of the power of the air”.

Image result for #kidsvoicefinaleThe event finally came to life when the talented and stunning top 10 finalists graced the stage with spunk for the rendition of the fantastic opening theme song which was succinctly delivered stylistically with enthusiasm. The top 10 finalists are: DANIEL AGBEYO, FAVOUR OZOANI, NIFEMI AFOLABI, DIVINE OKOCHA, MOLOLUWA SALAWU, ENEH JOSEPHINE ABAH, BALIKIS OKANLAWON, SAMUEL OLANIYAN, ESTHER ATIE and MOYINOLUWA ADENUGA. It was a day like no other as the audience kept on cheering and chanting their favorites.

A number of kid guest artists also graced the occasion to showcase their talents and also to entertain and thrill the audience. The kid artists include ADIKWU INNOCENT who is a comedian who thrilled the audience with his astonishing performance and once again kindled the light of laughter amidst the mild atmospheric condition of the audience. ODM OCHESTRA also displayed their wonderful understanding of strings and notes with their violins which got the audience singing along with the tunes. A 6year old DABIRA also displayed his tender rendition of songs with his little saxophone. Another saxophone sensation who was also part of the audition contestants also brought the audience to a surprise mode as he amazed the crowd with his saxophone. DEMILADE is a kid whose age varies between 6 and 7 years but with a mighty magical display of the metal wind musical instrument.

Another performance that got the audience dancing came from a young super-sensation and a Cleaner Lagos advocate, the founder of “Children for Cleaner Lagos”, TONY OHEKURU IJI. Tony Iji is the “Nigeria we are one” crooner whose talent, energy and stage control is so enormous. He performed one of his hit tracks that swiftly moved the crowd to their feet.

The performance from the 5eliminated finalists was super-intimate as they brought the audience to wonder why they were eliminated via their intrepid performances, stage control and the introduction of local vibes which intrigued the audience. ENEH ABAH went for “Standing Ovation” by Tiwa Savage, NIFEMI AFOLABI went for the remix of the legendary EbenezerObey’s song by Simi, FAVOUR OZOANI went for “Love  don’t care” by Simi, BALIKIS OKANLAWON went for “Fall in love” by Yemi Alade and the emotional DIVINE OKOCHA went for a grooving oldie.

The emotional moment invaded the gathering when DANIEL AGBEYO, ESTHER ATIE and MOYINOLUWA ADENUGA were requested to step forward leaving MOLOLUWA SALAWU and SAMUEL OLANIYAN behind; it was another eviction of two contestant out of the remaining 5 finalists. There and then, the 12 years old MOYINOLUWA ADENUGA and 12 years old ESTHER ATIE were announced 2nd and 1st runner-up respectively leaving the sensational DANIEL AGBEYO as the last man standing and the winner of the first season of Kids Voice Reality Singing Competition 2018. Daniel became the winner of #2,000,000, additional #200,000, Recording/Promotion/Sponsoring contract with JYB TV, AfriOne performance Tablet, also 1year free membership at SunFit Health Club amongst other opportunities. The 2nd and 1st runner-up won a Xinox Mobile Tablet each. Silverbird won the channel of the year while their VP, Ben Murray-Bruce was awarded amongst others.

When the judges were asked to speak to the contestants,
Koffi Tha Guru said, “See yourselves as winners and never look down on yourselves and also the winner should always remember to carry others along”.
Ego Ogbaro said, “Always be the best in all you do”.
Veno Marioghae-Mbanefo said, “The children are great. They all have a special place in my heart. The people who contested but did not make it through can contest in the next season”.

During an interaction with the winner’s family, the MD/CEO of R-Wells Media and JYB TV, Jibe Ologeh said “We are going to guide and guard him against ‘just anyhow’ record label. For now, all his recordings will be at JYB TV Studio”. She furthermore warned that he (Daniel0 should be guided and should not be allowed to be lured into any irresponsible record label in order not to affect hislife negatively as majority of them aims at getting their bodies tattooed, having their hairs dreadlocked and putting on crazy wears. The R-Wells boss said, “He (Daniel) may feel like following the trend and want to be stubborn or go astray, he should not be allowed. He must be guided”.
During an interactiove session with Gossip Gazer Online correspondent, the Kids Voice Music Director, seasoned singer and songwriter, music producer, vocal coach and member of Infinity Gospel Band and “Olorioko” crooner, SUNNY STEVEN known as Sunny Steve when askedofhis viewabout thecompetition and his challenges as the Music Director, he said that kids should be allowed to chase and live theirdreams. Parents should try and understand their children’s passion and follow it up. He promised to convince the management to bring in other talents apart from singing. The Music Director said, “The contestants were very emotional going by their ages and it was hard to keep up but it was a great time with the all through”.

Ayobami Ogunleye, a trader and mother of three on Friday told a Mapo Customary Court in Ibadan to dissolve her marriage to Olaniyi because he raped her 16-year-old daughter.
