KIDS VOICE: THE NEW DAWN OF REALITY SINGING COMPETITION

The music industry in Nigeria is really multiplying and this is no surprise as another groundbreaking singing competition joined the reality shows where kids are given the opportunity to showcase their talent in music; it is the KIDS VOICE REALITY SINGING COOMPETITION.

Kids Voice as it is fondly called had her Season 1 auditions on three consecutive Saturdays in the month of March 2018; Saturday 10th, Saturday 17th and Saturday 24th and the auditions begins at 9:00am at JYB TV Studio.

The advertisement broadcast of the competition converged different talented children and their families from different backgrounds and different parts of Nigeria; Lagos, Abuja, Imo, Akwa-Ibom, Port Harcourt, Ibadan, Delta, Calabar and Benin for the audition at JYB TV Studio.

The audition was no child’s play and no sentiments or familiarity attached with talented ace music veterans on sit to judge and pick the qualified new kids on the block of music industry to enter into the competition. The judges for the just concluded Season 1 are: Nigerian vocalist, dancer, lyricist and former Nigerian Idol no-nonsense judge, YINKA DAVIES; A former member of the Africano Music band (led by the renowned afrobeat legend, Lagbaja), a singer and brain behind Indigo band, EGO OGBARO who captivated the minds of her audience with her sonorous voice in hit songs like “Never far away”, “Nothing for you” and “Konko Below” while she was a member of Africano Music Band and was also as a matter of fact a Globacom Ambassador; Multi-award winning gospel childhood sensation who released her first music album back in 1998 at the age of 10, the “Osamudiame” crooner, BENITA OKOJIE; Ace comedian and musician who joined “Theatre 15” back in 1998 and trained as a dancer, stage actor and comedy opening act, KOFFI AYINDE IDOWU NUEL known as Koffi Tha Guru; And finally a South-South sensation who came into limelight with an legendry heroic, iconic and evergreen hit song “Nigeria go survive” in 1984 at the age of 22 while she was still serving as a Youth Corper, formerly signed under Tabansi Records who later released “Siobo Nome”, a former senior editor of national Life Newspaper, a “World Intellectual Property Day” award winner, VENO MARIOGHAE-MBANEFO. Veno is currently working on her plans to hit the limelight once more as she is currently remaking “Nigeria go survive” and is about to release her new gospel album titled “Nectar”.

The rehearsal for Season 1 kicked off on Saturday 7th of April, 2018 where the top 10 finalists were required to attend rehearsals every Saturday with other mind-blowing activities added in-between like attending fitness club, visiting the brand sponsors and many more. The rehearsals took place at JYB TV studio where finalists got to not only rehearse but also got to interact with and know other finalists and got visited by resident judges, brands and followers of Kids Voice Reality Singing Competition.

The 10 finalists and the lucky viewers engaged in very exciting activities like JYB TV Children’s Day Bash for Peace Fiesta, Tours, Dance Sessions, Grammar and Elocution Classes, Social Media Sing and Win Competition and Social Media Wildcard Competition; these activities successfully built memories in the minds of both the finalists and the lucky viewers who participated in the amazing journey of Kids Voice reality Singing Competition for prices like #2,000,000, additional #200,000, Recording/Promotion/Sponsoring contract with JYB TV, AfriOne performance Tablet, also the winner and family get 1year free membership at SunFit Health Club amongst other opportunities.

Ayobami Ogunleye, a trader and mother of three on Friday told a Mapo Customary Court in Ibadan to dissolve her marriage to Olaniyi because he raped her 16-year-old daughter.
